The year is 1997. Mitra is a 24 year old political prisoner in Iran’s infamous Evin prison. Here, she suffers the same fate that thousands before have also faced: she is flogged. Whipped with steel wire, against the soles of her feet. As she is being tortured, she catches a glimpse of her torturer’s face in a reflection.
